  • Received  the 2002 SRJC Academic Senate  Oustanding Adjunct Faculty of the Year Award. (The link is a PDF document)
  • Founded & Coordinates the SRJC Community Health Worker Program.
  • Originated, Teaches, Coordinates and/or Supervises Classes in Law & Ethics, Medical Terminology, Healthy Life Styles, Career Pathways, Medical Transcription, Billing, Medical Assisting (Admin Front Office, Clinical Back C Office) and ...
  •  Completed the course requirements for an M.S.  in International Public Health from Loma Linda University, including field studies in Central America.
  • Currently uses  local resources that serve the Hispanic and other immigrant communities in Sonoma County, including the S.W. Community Health Center.
  • Is a certified Childbirth Educator with 30 years of experience.
  • Initiated the YMCA, Nautal Nautics, a Water Exercise and Training (WET) program for pregnant and postpartum women.
