The photos and logos are illustrative of several themes: the primacy of nature, the importance of geography, the centrality of water and the mystery of global climate.

News Briefs:  BTW, the birthday guys are: August - Jerry, Tanya, G-Pa Fisk; September -  Kathy and Damon; October - Emma.

Thanks to all the Oregon Turners and Fisks, for a great August visit to the Beaver State. Jackson , Lane and Clackamas Counties were most hospitable and wonderful places to explore Eugene, Springfield,  the Hult Center, the University of Oregon, Autzen Stadium, Hayward Field, and the new Knight School of Law.

Dave and Mary Jayne were justly proud of  Jacksonville and the upper Rogue River:  Kathy and Jaz were both hosts and guides to the Junction City Scandia Festival.

G-Pa and G-Ma Fisk and their Canby place are ready for fall. As of February 2003. Dad and Eileen have relocated to Mira Monte Pt, a retirement community in Clackamas. OR.

A highlight was a side-trip up the Upper Umpqua River to Diamond Lake, Crater Lake, Fort Klamath, Klamath Lake and Lake-of-the-Woods.( Is there a water theme here or what!)
